Atlanta's wedding planning Tips, Planner-Shondola Evans

Just ENGAGED? 5 Tips to get started.

Congratulation on your engagement!

The moment that makes time stand still, a heart dropping feeling that takes your breath away. He PROPOSED! You are so excited and can’t wait to start planning your wedding and telling everyone the good news. Where do you begin? So many things are racing in your mind. Where will I have the ceremony? How many guests? What are my colors? Can I get everything I want is the ideal question? I hope this valuable information will get you started in the right direction. Are you ready?!

Let’s begin with setting a budgetA realistic budget needs to be set right away, it needs to be established up front how much you are willing to spend for your wedding, who will pay for what, or even how will you pay for it. There is always a cap on what you are willing to spend, and how much you have to consider, whether its 20, 00.00 or 50, 00.00. Setting a budget early will help direct you in selecting the best location and vendors to fit your needs.

Create your guest listWho will you invite? Will it be big or small? The amount of guest you invite will determine where you can have your event and will control the most of your budget. Consider who is important that you really don’t want to miss out on your event. If your parents have friends they want to invite don't forget to include them in your complete total. The Bride and groom should make their own separate list of who they want to attend. Get the facts and know the planning financial numbers before you announce your wedding to people for attendance.

Set your wedding dateConsider the time of year, if you want outdoors or indoors when selecting your wedding date. Think about your time of day and will it be day time or night time at the start time of your wedding. Consider if it’s a holiday weekend or if school will be out for your family and friend that will have to travel.

Think about the type of location you wantHotel, church or private facility what do you envision? When considering a location imagine how you want to feel, and what experience you want for you and your guest. Do you want a hotel because you have a lot of out of town guests, or thinking about a church ceremony but want to have your reception at a private facility? Give this some thought; this is a major part of your overall atmosphere for you and your guest.

Think about hiring a wedding plannerConsidering a wedding planner early will help alleviate any stress, save you lots of time, money and costly learning mistakes. You dreamed of this day and just imagine having a professional and knowledgeable planner to help guide you in every aspect of your planning, someone that is in your corner to help you get every thing you envisioned, refer you to only the best of vendors and help you stay in your budget. Well that is what you would get working with FSB Events, our team of professional wedding planners.

If you are thinking I want to do this all my self, Get ready for a full time job and take advantage of our DIY coaching packages to assist you as well to help you plan your wedding.

I hope this helps you get started and thinking about your vision on your wedding day.

Have a Blessed planning,

Wedding items that can be used for multiple functions

We always love things that can be used for dual purposes, especially if it’s creative at the same time. Take a look at some wedding items we found on www.marthastewartweddings.com that can be use for multiple functions for your wedding.

Coctail hour drinks that also have your guest name and table number.

Wedding Table Decorations
Boxes topped with flowers make a beautiful centerpiece; a table number is embroidered onto ribbon encircling the largest box. Inside, the stems sit in water bottles stabilized by crumpled paper. Favor boxes, which contain nonpareils, double as place cards.

Luggage Tag as a Place Card
Help guests find their seats by offering personalized luggage tags that make a functional keepsake. Print labels with lines for name, address, and phone number onto card stock (use the insert that comes with the tags as a template). Calligraph guests' names. Slip tag and decorative paper backing into the plastic cover. Loop cording through hole at top, and hang on chairs. Calligraphy by Nancy Howell.

Wine Bottles as Wedding Table Numbers
Have wine bottles do double-duty as table numbers. Cover-weight paper printed with large, graphic numerals can be adhered over existing labels with double-sided tape for a clean, contemporary look. It's a clever touch that will have guests drinking to your good fortune -- and your good taste. Cotton-linen table runner with black-and-white floral pattern from Anthropologie.
